All the countries in the world are divided into three categories, developed, developing and under developed countries . Naturally , an organism tries to develop itself.Likewise a country would try to be a developed country.

A country is said to be developed if majority of its income is through the industrial sector. And in the developing and under developed countries,it is mainly through agricultural sector.Development of a country would mean large number of industries and large number of industries, although generating good employment opportunities ,would cause pollution. Its in the very definition of developed countries that number of industries is proportional to the development of the country. In the process of achieving the status of a developed country, large industries are set up and these cause pollution. Hence in our development , we are seeking future destruction.

Pollution is the addition of harmful substances in the environment leading to harmful effects.Pollution can be classified as :

Air Pollution
Water Pollution
Land Pollution
Soil Pollution

From our definition of developed countries,we may infer that the country which is more polluted is more developed.Or a city which is more polluted is more developed.Unfortunately,in many cases, the above statement is true. Our current lifestyle of pomp and show, seeking harmful comfort for ourselves,is the basic cause of pollution.A 100 years back,no body could imagine air that could not be inhaled, water that could not be drank and soil that could be infertile.Today an individual, for instance, desires to owe a car,by which he could travel from one place to another. But that task could be done in some public transport too.And when more than one individual starts to think like this, poisonous gases( Carbon monoxide, Sulfur Dioxide etc) are introduced in the atmosphere. These gases not only cause respiratory problems but they are also responsible for heating up of the atmosphere(along with other gases). This effect is called greenhouse effect. This effect is responsible for melting of the polar glaciers.Sooner or later, this glaciers will melt and flood the coastal regions of several continents.

In case one is finding difficulty in realizing how critical the condition is,the current world map with a 100 year old one can be compared. Ceasing all industrial activities at once is impractical. But changing our way of thinking and taking small positive steps can help us contribute a lot towards a productive and healthy future.

“All” is an English word which defines every element of a particular set. This word is used by all of us even when we are approximately defining “all” the elements of a set.

When we say that “all of us” have the fundamental rights,we mean that all of us irrespective of what we may be,have the fundamental rights. There is no doubt here that “all” is used in a positive sense. But this word comes with a baggage too.

If one is hungry and wants to eat some chocolates,it will be foolish if he purchases “all” the chocolates from a shop.Waste of resources(here money),some chocolates may be wasted too and moreover any other person cannot have a chocolate from that shop. The major problems arise when we are talking about a large number of people. For example,Reservation of seats for “all” people of certain categories in government institutions irrespective of how rich they may be,no reservation for people of certain categories irrespective of how poor they may be,assuming “all” men to be sexist, assuming “all” women to be weak are some of the common examples of misusing the word “all”.The above examples will not need any further explanation. The list can go on like this.

Eating bulk of chocolates is not good for health and nothing can be more foolish than purchasing each and every chocolate from a shop.Likewise,it is not wise to pour resources over the people who do not need any attention.Instead of entertaining all people of a particular section, government can effectively help the needy people of that section and can also help needy people of different sections.Furthermore, age old policies should be improved for the betterment of the country. No policy of the country should hinder the development of an individual. The wise use of the word “all” will be when “all” the citizens of our nation are at the same level and none requiring any special treatment.

Desperate needs call for desperate measures .Now the time has come which is demanding, from the youth, from the society, sources of energy that can last years, moreover cleaner sources of energy.

The first law of thermodynamics tells us that “energy can neither be created nor destroyed,it can only be converted from one form to another”.From the accidental discovery of fire to causing fire by accident, man has come through it all and learnt from it all.If we have learnt so much about the laws and the matter around us,is it that difficult to obtain different sources of energy. And if obtained,is it that difficult to put them in use?

We already know about the various renewable sources of energy like wind and hydro power and we also know the disadvantages of the present source of energy we use(fossil fuels). After knowing it all,we keep using them because it is helping us maintain our daily routine and no one likes to deviate from it.And because of that people do not pay attention to the need of using renewable sources of energy and not making use of fossil fuels. We already know what we are capable of,if we can reach moon and go to space, finding new sources of energy and putting them to use is no big deal. And once this happens,we can put a full stop to the use of fossil fuels and say hello to a greener and cleaner world.
