Systems theory (ST)
Systems theory is the transdisciplinary study of systems. The idea behind this theory is to explain principles that can be applicable to all types of systems at all nesting levels in all fields of research. Although Systems theory is yet to be accurately defined, it basically means a specialization of systems thinking. An important aspect of systems theory is self-regulating systems, i.e. systems self-correcting through feedback.
