Game-Learning

Game-Learning

Game-Learning- Games and learning is a field of education research that studies what is learned by playing video games, and how the design principles, data and communities of video gameplay can be used to develop new learning environments. G-learning or game-learning refers to a corporate learning and development methodology in which the content of a training course is combined with an online graphic adventure video game integrating a complex virtual-world simulator. Through the application of game-based learning principles and the use of engaging gamification techniques, the learner masters soft skills playing a video game.

Facing different, increasingly difficult challenges, the learner is able to practice and apply the content while receiving personalized feedback and accordingly, enhance his/her retention and mastery of the subject matter. Training can be given in two main ways: in-classroom or online. In the in-classroom training, theoretical contents are taught by the instructor. The interaction between the instructor and the students makes the learning process easier to control and ensure efficient learning.

Gamification

Gamification is the use of game thinking and game mechanics in non-game contexts to engage users in solving problems and increase users’ self contributions. Gamification is the application of game-design elements and game principles in non-game contexts. It can also be defined as a set of activities and processes to solve problems by using or applying the characteristics of game elements.
