BANGALORE: Starting this year, Common Admission Test (CAT) scores handed out by the Indian Institutes of Managements (IIMs) will come with an expiry tag.

Scorecards of CAT 2011 candidates hoping to make it to any of the 13 IIMs or 100-odd B-schools across India will be valid only until December 31, 2012. Though conventionally CAT scores have one-year validity, it's the first time that IIMs are explicit about the expiry date. No candidate will be able to download the scorecard from the CAT website after December 31, 2012.

BANGALORE: In yet another dismal performance, Karnataka has managed a pass percentage of only 27.98% in the June-July 2011 II PU supplementary exams.

BANGALORE: Karnataka students and computer science: these two aspects stood out during the seat-selection process for Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (Comedk). When the counter closed on day two atNMKRV College for Women on Wednesday, computer science remained the most preferred engineering branch with 184 students picking up seats. Electronics and communication followed with 183 seats. 

Bangalore: The Common Admission Test (CAT), which is for the 13 IIMs and other major B-schools in the country, has now gone for a format makeover. The test will be conducted between October 22 and November 18, 2011. CAT 2011 will have two sections instead of three, and an additional fiveminutes to tackle the test. But the number of questions will remain the same.
